A easy walk around this lovely part of Wharfedale. Great views of the Arthington Viaduct and Almscliffe Crag. Some off road parking opposite Leathley Church.
Once you have parked up you head toward Leathley Hall for a mile or so. The path then takes you on a left and a climb up towards Riffa Woods, it is on this stretch you are treated to some of the best views of Arthington viaduct.
Once though the woods you make your way up to St Mary's Church in Stainburn, on route you can enjoy some views of Almscliffe Crag.
Through St Mary's churchyard and on towards Braythorn and the original location for Emmerdale Farm. A short walk through the fields and you are soon descending to the Washburn where you follow the river back to the car.
A thoroughly enjoyable walk with lots of photo opportunities. Suitable for walkers of all abilities.
