One of the Yorkshire 3 peaks, Pen-y-Ghent is a favourite for walkers of all abilities. This walk provides some stunning views from the summit right across Ribblesdale and beyond. Parking is available in Horton (paid) with some roadside parking available on the approach to the village.
On the decent don't forget to take a quick 10 minute detour to check out the waterfall at hull pot.
There are may routes around the iconic Pen-y-Ghent, but in my opinion, this route is one of the best - a steep climb but gentle descent - providing stunning photo opportunities across Ribblesdale.
